Tune- in Tuesdays: William McDowell

tune-in

This week’s music is from worshiper William McDowell.  This particular song is from his latest album titled “Withholding Nothing” which is also the title of this week’s song.

The download for this song can be purchased from Amazon for less than $1 here.

In relation to some things going on in my life, this song is a great reminder to give God my all.  More importantly, it’s a reminder to lay down every weight, every fear, every unknown path and just trust Him.

Daily, I remind myself that God knows all.  When I surrendered my life to Him, at that moment, I decided that I would no longer make major decisions on my own.

One of the names of God is Jehovah Rohi, which means God my Shepherd. Psalm 23 in the bible states in verse 3 “…he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake”.

I love this verse of scripture because it reminds me that when I let God be God and lead me along the right paths for my life, He gets the glory because it’s for His name sake, not mine.

When I say “to God be the glory”, I literally mean it for all that He’s done in my life.  I can’t take credit for any of it.

I’m so grateful, because God’s word is forever settled in heaven, so if He said it in His Word, it is already fulfilled.

I may not be able to see it yet, but He can because He sees all of my tomorrows, before one of them ever came to be.

Nothing surprises God!

Therefore, I can surrender all fears and doubts to Him.  In turn, I can rest in the peace of knowing, like a baby who depends on its mother for its total well being, that I can trust my God to take care of me.

He always has!

May His love overwhelm you,

Marilyn J.

  1. Hi Marilyn! I love the thought that if God has said it, it is already fulfilled. What an awesome God, so worthy of our trust.
I have often struggled with giving everything to God. Silly, I know. But if worry was an Olympic event, I’d be the star of the team! I’m getting better, but I love reminders about surrender, so you really hit it home for me today.

    Happy St. Nicholas Day!

    • Happy St. Nicholas Day to you too Ceil! Ceil, I would be a frontrunner with you in that Olympic event. The thought of us running alongside each other with our doubts in tow somehow makes me smile. The good thing is, God sees us both, doubts and all, and loves us the more and is waiting for us at the finish line.

      Blessings to you,
      Marilyn J.
